Human Rights Week
Human Rights Week (12/4~12/10)
From December 4 to 10, Japan will celebrate the 63rd annual “Human Rights Week.” December 10 was designated by the United Nations as “Human Rights Day” in 1950 to commemorate the Universal Declaration of Human Rights when it was adopted at the 3rd General Assembly two years prior. The following year a week was designated to nationally promote activities focused on building awareness about human rights since then.
The Chiba Region’s Department of Justice Tateyama branch office along with the Tateyama Human Rights Protection Council will prepare a “Special Human Rights Consultation Place” in accordance to Human Rights Week.
