Located in the heart of Kamogawa city, Kamogawa has grown from a farming/fishing district into one of tourism and industrial over the years. As big shopping centers move into the area and new shops opening on the west side of Kamogawa station, many mom-and-pop stores that line the street in front of the school have closed down. The once-bustling part of town has now become a quiet neighborhood.
