About Kimitsu City
Located right above Kamogawa City, Kimitsu shares common roots with Kamogawa in areas of history, culture, and nature. Because of the close proximity, the two cities have come together in the past to work out problems of road opening, water resources, and other administrative issues.
In November of 1997, Kimitsu City signed a friendship city relations agreement with former Amatsukominato for the purpose of widening the span of local governing and resource sharing.
From here on out, new Kamogawa will continue to grow this friendship city relationship and work together with Kimitsu to use this relationship for further development of various aspects of city governing.
