Kamogawa Ocean Park
Your Pit Stop for a Pleasant Journey
Kamogawa Ocean Park is located directly along National Road 128, the main lifeline of tourism in the Minami Boso region. The Ocean Park facilities include a rest area, the Aozora Market, where you can purchase local produce, and the Thousand Year Shore, a playground recreating the shores of olden times. The facilities revolve around the ocean and flowers in order to promote Kamogawa’s greatest assets, her rich nature and warm climate.
Ocean Park serves as a tourism hub and rest area, as well as a place to learn about the local industries, culture, and art.

Ocean Park’s main building is a fan-shaped pyramid building standing three floors tall. Water streams down the tiers of the building’s shell, emulating a waterfall. You can find the information center and a gift shop specializing in local produce and crafts on the first floor. The second floor features a restaurant-café where you can enjoy local seafood specialities and a spectacular view of the endless Pacific Ocean at the same time. Additionally, there is a multi-purpose event hall and an observation deck overlooking the Pacific Ocean located on the third floor.
Thousand Year Shore (Sennen Iso)
The water playground spread out in front of the main building is called the “Thousand Year Shore (Sennen Iso).” It is modeled to recreate rocky coast shores of the past. The playground uses water directly from the surrounding ocean. The playground is equipped with water guns, screw pumps, and pedal waterwheels, and is a great place for parents and children to spend time together.
You can find a large variety of locally produced vegetables, fruits, flowers, and seafood at the tent market all year round.
The building is modeled after the sea snail, matching the backdrop of the Pacific Ocean. The large screen projector inside the facility broadcasts information about local sights and transportation information.
Ocean Park holds a flea market on the 3rd and 5th Sunday of each month, from 9am to 4pm.
Men’s and women’s restrooms are located in both the rest area and the main building.
