Getting Prepared / 災害の　前に　準備します

  1. 自分の　すんでいるところで、昔　どんな 　災害が　あったか　学びます。
  2. にげる道を　いくつか　決めます。
    どこで　家族と　会うか　決めます。
  3. 3日分の　食べものと　のみものを　準備します。
    くすりや　ミルク、おむつも　いっしょに 準備します。

気をつけること

海の　近くに　すんでいる人

地震のとき、津波が　おきるかもしれません。地震や　津波の　警報〈危ないと　知らせること〉を　聞いたとき、すぐに　避難所〈にげるところ〉に　にげてください。

山や　がけの　近くに　すんでいる人

雨が　たくさん　ふると、山や　がけの　土や　砂が　落ちてくるかもしれません。
山や　がけから　はなれたところに　にげてください。

川の　近くに　すんでいる人

雨が　たくさん　ふると、川の　水が　あふれて、家の中に　入ってくるかもしれません。
川から　はなれたところに　にげてください。

  1. Learn about the dangers in your area
    Is your home in danger of tsunami, landslides, or flooding?
  2. Surrounding roads may become unusable in a disaster; prepare both a secondary route and meeting spot for your family.
  3. Prepare Rations
  4. Be sure to keep at least 3 days of food and water stored in case of emergency. Also, make sure to have an emergency stash of medicine, milk, diapers, or any other necessary items.

Take note

If you live along the coast, and/or in an area that may be in danger of tsunamis and you feel strong or slow tremors, evacuate as quickly as possible to an appointed shelter or elevated ground. Even if you do not feel tremors, if a tsunami warning or Tokai Area earthquake warning is issued, you should also evacuate as soon as possible.

If a tsunami advisory is issued, even if you do not feel any tremors, those who live along the coast should evacuate.

In the case of heavy rain, mountain areas may be in danger of landslides or mudslides. Residences along the riverside and in the downtown areas where the drainage is poor may be in danger of flooding. Be sure to avoid such areas when planning out your evacuation route.
